QBFS DRAFT GRADES 2026

The QBFS Grade — this season's brand experiment: three independent expert lenses graded every team as one house panel. Their combined verdict is the QBFS Grade. Below it is compared head-to-head with the FantasyPros-style aggregate — the kind of score a typical public grading service gives: each pick valued against FantasyPros' Superflex ECR (545 players, 128 experts, updated draft-day) plus roster construction for the SF format.

The draft in one paragraph

JohnTKx kicked off QBFS's first-ever Superflex draft with Jahmyr Gibbs at 1.01, and BREAL4133 closed it out 79 minutes later with Jake Elliott as Mr. Irrelevant. Round 1 was 4 RB / 4 WR / 2 QB — Josh Allen at 1.03 and Lamar Jackson at 1.09 were the only early arms — but by night's end 26 quarterbacks were drafted (2.6 per team) in a league that needs 20 starters every week. The market split in half. Teams like Sanduskys Tickle Monsters, BREAL4022 and Lethal Weapons harvested locked-in starting QBs in rounds 5–16 (Daniels at 46, Mahomes at 50, Stafford at 71, Kyler at 112, Stroud at 151); the two-QB builds near the bottom of the board watched those same starters slide past them — and the first defense (Rams, pick 81) and first kicker (Aubrey, pick 94) both came off the board with QB3s still available. The aggregate board and the QBFS panel agree on the top of the class — shawnp121's Sanduskys Tickle Monsters is #1 on both — and disagree hard in the middle. That is the story of this report.

How to read the grades

Aggregate vs the QBFS Grade — where they agree, where they don't

The two systems are correlated (Spearman ≈ 0.70) but move teams an average of ~1.8 ranking spots — the spread a house panel should add.

• Both systems love the same two teams. Sanduskys Tickle Monsters is #1 on the aggregate and the panel: Jayden Daniels at pick 46 (the draft's biggest QB steal), Chase at 1.06, Achane, Nico Collins, three startable QBs, the league's best WR trio. BREAL4022 is #2 on both — Mahomes at pick 50 plus Stroud at pick 151 over the deepest efficiency-true WR room in the league.
• Biggest panel upgrade — LizardKingLyle (+4: aggregate #7 → QBFS #3). The aggregate hammers the Josh Jacobs reach at pick 58 (−86). The panel instead sees the Allen/Lawrence QB pair, McBride, role-locked RBs, no other real reaches, and the latest K/DEF in the draft. Three lenses forgive one bad pick when the structure around it is this disciplined; ECR-style sums don't.
• Biggest panel demotion — wiredbeatbox (−3: aggregate #3 → QBFS #6). The aggregate loves the best QB room in the league (Lamar/Herbert/Kyler). The panel does too — two of three lenses rank the QB room elite — but Jeremiyah Love at pick 29 (the draft's worst board-slot overpay, −94, a committee back with a high ankle) and a round-15 TE answer cost the grade.
• Also demoted — GlizzyXbirds (−3: #5 → #8). A loaded skill core (JT, JJ, Olave, Hampton) can't outrun a two-QB Superflex build whose QB2 is Jaxson Dart at pick 56. Every lens calls it the clearest structural miss; a pure-value aggregate never fully charges for it.
• Also upgraded — OnDemandDann (+3: #10 → #7). The aggregate ranks Dann last (league's weakest RB corps, kicker at pick 94). The panel credits Jordan Love at pick 114 (+75), a league-best WR trio (CeeDee/A.J. Brown/Pickens), and two round-15 role steals (Coker, Meyers) as enough to escape the cellar.

What the QBFS panel sees that aggregate grades miss

Six league-level calls from the three lenses, each grounded in a specific pick:

1. The Superflex QB market never fully arrived — and the teams that harvested it won the draft. Only 26 QBs were drafted (SF math says ~34). Locked starters fell to rounds 5–16: Daniels 46, Mahomes 50, Goff 75, Stafford 71, Baker 88, Kyler 112, Jordan Love 114, Darnold 135, Ward 153, Stroud 151. Four teams stopped at two QBs and are one ankle from the wire. (all three lenses)

2. Patrick Mahomes at pick 50 is the defining steal of the draft. The Efficiency lens's T1 QB4 (422 rush yards, knee cleared Aug 13) went 11th among QBs. A pure-value board misses how repeatable he is; BREAL4133 got a league-winner at the 5/6 turn.

3. Kickers and defenses were drafted while starting QBs were the best players left — with provable, direct cost. Rams D/ST at pick 81 (JohnTKx) came 7 picks before Baker Mayfield; Aubrey at 94 and Houston D/ST at 107 (Dann) bracketed Kyler at 112; Seattle D/ST at 113 (mikeraila) was the pick directly before Jordan Love. A defense before your second QB is a construction error in a first-SF year. (all three lenses, near-verbatim agreement)

4. The rookie-TE tax was the market's worst positional misprice. Tyler Warren (44), Colston Loveland (40), LaPorta (66), Fannin (76) and Kelce (105) all went 3–4 rounds ahead of the lenses' ranks, while the efficient/late TEs (Kraft 67, Kincaid 91, Pitts 79, Andrews 154) slid. Only the McBride/Bowers gap was worth paying for.

5. Name-value RB buys were the regression trap; role-locked "boring" backs were the discount. Paid up: Henry 26 (age 32), Saquon 11 (29), Jeanty 19 (ankle, 3.7 YPC), CMC 8 (30), Montgomery 47 (TD-specialist), Skattebo 51 (the worst single overpay on three boards — NYG signed Najee). The lenses' efficiency/role favorites slid: Achane 15, James Cook 12, KW3 21, Swift 60, Rhamondre 54, Dobbins 103.

6. One news item was drafted against: TreVeyon Henderson (ankle, not practicing Sep 5) at pick 82 — 39 slots past even the pessimistic board — while the same news cycle's winners (Nico Collins at 35 after the Higgins ACL, Olave at 36, Etienne 53, Downs 136) were grabbed by the teams reading the injury wire.

1. Sanduskys Tickle Monsters — shawnp121 (slot 6)

QBFS Grade: A- · #1 of 10 — vs FantasyPros-style A- (#1): same as aggregate.

The panel's unanimous #1 and the aggregate's #1 — the rare draft where the value board and three expert lenses tell the same story. shawnp121 waited out the QB run and got Jayden Daniels at pick 46 (round 5), the draft's biggest QB1 steal on every board, then kept harvesting: Goff in round 8, Sam Darnold at pick 135. Three startable QBs, Ja'Marr Chase at 1.06, and a WR trio (Chase, Nico Collins, Zay Flowers) no other roster matches. The only taxes the lenses flag: Derrick Henry at pick 26 (a 32-year-old the Situation board does not rank) and a health-flagged TE room (LaPorta/Kittle). In a first-SF season, the team that drafted the formula got the grade.

• Efficiency A- (#2): Most efficiency-true build in the league: Achane, Daniels, Goff, Zay and Nico all landed at or under my board; only the health-flagged TE room keeps this from the top.

2. BREAL4022 — BREAL4133 (slot 10)

QBFS Grade: A- · #2 of 10 — vs FantasyPros-style B+ (#2): same as aggregate.

The aggregate says #2, the panel says #2, and the Efficiency lens says #1: BREAL4133 quietly built the deepest roster in the league from the 10-spot. The case starts with Patrick Mahomes at pick 50 — the draft's defining steal, a T1 efficiency QB who went 11th among QBs — and ends with C.J. Stroud at pick 151, a locked starter at QB3 prices. Between them: Stafford (pick 71) as QB2 and a WR room (JSN, London, Jameson Williams, Brian Thomas) every lens ranks top-three. The demerits are the name-tax RB buys: Saquon at pick 11 (age 29, 4.1 YPC) and Cam Skattebo at pick 51 — the worst single overpay on three of the four boards. Zero holes except a ceiling-capping RB2 slot.

• Late-Round Value B (#6): Stroud at 16.10 and Mahomes at 5.10 build a QB fortress, but Skattebo at 6.10 is the draft's worst overpay and the RB name tax is real.
• Efficiency A (#1): Best value harvest of the draft: T1 Mahomes at 5.50 and Stroud at 16.151 sit under the league's deepest, most efficiency-true WR room.
• Situation A- (#2): Value king: Mahomes, Stafford and Stroud all fell to him around a JSN/Kyren anchor; two name-value RB buys are the only tax.

Aggregate take: Zero holes, three QBs and quiet value everywhere; a mid-tier QB1 is the only ceiling cap.

3. LizardKingLyle — LizardKingLyle (slot 3)

QBFS Grade: B+ · #3 of 10 — vs FantasyPros-style B- (#7): 4 spots above the aggregate.

The panel's biggest upgrade over the aggregate (+4). The ECR-style grade stares at one number — Josh Jacobs at pick 58 (a −86 reach) — and calls the draft B-minus. The lenses look at the structure: Josh Allen at 1.03 (the correct #1 overall pick, taken on time), Trevor Lawrence at pick 38 as QB2, Trey McBride at pick 18, six-deep WR target hogs (McLaurin at 78, Marvin Harrison at 83, DK Metcalf at 98), role-locked RBs, and the latest K/DEF in the draft. Three lenses, three B+ or better. The fair ceiling complaint: only two QBs in a Superflex, no QB3, and the Chase Brown (pick 23) / Malik Nabers (pick 43, four games in 2025, ACL rehab) middle rounds carry real risk.

• Situation B+ (#3): Allen-plus-discipline: TE1 McBride, three role-locked RBs, almost no reaches and late K/DEF — but two QBs and no top-60 WR cap the ceiling.

4. ArcherMcKay — ArcherMcKay (slot 2)

QBFS Grade: B+ · #4 of 10 — vs FantasyPros-style B- (#6): 2 spots above the aggregate.

Bijan Robinson at 1.02, a Hurts/Nix dual-QB stack, and four WR target hogs — the Late-Round Value lens calls the ceiling top-two, and the panel lands at #4 (two spots above the aggregate). The late rounds were a value machine: Bo Nix at pick 62, Michael Wilson at 99, Jacoby Brissett at 162 as a final-round QB3 with a locked Arizona job. What caps it: Ashton Jeanty at pick 19 (ankle flag, 3.7 YPC — all three lenses called the reach) and TreVeyon Henderson at pick 82, drafted against the one hard injury story of draft week. A flag-heavy skill corps (Jeanty, Henderson, Tee Higgins, Kyle Pitts) makes this the league's most Week-1-dependent top-four team.

5. Thundergun Express — Bluemeeplebob (slot 4)

QBFS Grade: B+ · #5 of 10 — vs FantasyPros-style B (#4): -1 spots below the aggregate.

Thundergun Express drafted the league's best young QB pair — Drake Maye at pick 17 (the Situation lens's #2 overall asset) and Caleb Williams at pick 24 — with Puka Nacua at 1.04 on top. The panel loves the foundation (two B+ votes) but docks a round-5 Tyler Warren reach every lens flagged (37–56 slots early, taken while Mahomes was still on the board at 50), the league's thinnest RB room, and four other value leaks that ate the A. Late-Round Value's hidden gem — Wan'Dale Robinson at pick 137 (+58 on its board) — is the kind of pick that quietly wins benches.

6. Lethal Weapons — wiredbeatbox (slot 9)

QBFS Grade: B · #6 of 10 — vs FantasyPros-style B+ (#3): -3 spots below the aggregate.

The most interesting split in the report: the aggregate ranks wiredbeatbox #3 (best QB room in the league: Lamar at 1.09, Herbert at pick 32, Kyler at 112) while the panel drops the commissioner to #6. The QB spine is Superflex-proof — the Efficiency lens even grades the whole team A- — but Jeremiyah Love at pick 29 is the single largest board-slot overpay of the draft (−94 per the Situation lens; a committee back with a high ankle and no NFL sample) and the TE answer is a round-15 Juwan Johnson. Kyler at pick 112 (+80/+90 on two boards) is the best pick on the card and the biggest QB surplus of the draft. Elite QB room, one structural hole too many at the moment.

QBFS Grade: B- · #7 of 10 — vs FantasyPros-style C+ (#10): 3 spots above the aggregate.

The panel rescues OnDemandDann from the cellar (aggregate #10 → QBFS #7). The case for: a league-best WR trio — CeeDee Lamb at 1.07, A.J. Brown at pick 14, George Pickens at pick 27 — Jordan Love at pick 114 as the steal of the late rounds, and two round-15 role gems (Coker at 147, Meyers at 134). The case against: the league's weakest RB corps by every board — David Montgomery at pick 47 (three broken tackles, TD-specialist), Rhamondre at pick 54, a 33-year-old Dak, no QB3 — plus kicker Aubrey at pick 94 and Houston D/ST at pick 107 bracketing Kyler's slide, exactly the K/DEF-before-QB tax the panel preaches against.

A loaded skill core — Jonathan Taylor at 1.05, Justin Jefferson at pick 16, Chris Olave at pick 36, Omarion Hampton at pick 25, Brock Purdy at pick 65 — wasted at the Superflex spot. GlizzyXbirds took Jaxson Dart at pick 56 as QB2: a concussed rookie with a murky Week-1 job, drafted ahead of the locked starters still on the board (Stafford 71, Goff 75, Baker 88, Kyler 112). Then Fannin at 76 and Kelce at 105 completed the reach cluster. The aggregate (pure value) grades this team B; the panel (structure first) drops it to #8. CMC at 1.08, Amon-Ra at pick 13, Bowers at pick 28, plus Baker at pick 88 and Cam Ward at pick 153 — the talent haul is real, and Ward (+100 on the Situation board) is the draft's third-biggest slot steal. The problem is architecture: the league's weakest Superflex QB room (Baker on a rookie leash, rookie Ward as QB2), seven RBs (Javonte at 33, Price at 73, Charbonnet at 168 — and the post-draft Daniel Jones FA add that tells you mikeraila knew it), and a season pivoting on a 30-year-old CMC who was nicked in camp. A kicker at pick 108 and defense at pick 113 bracketed Kyler and Jordan Love — the same tax, again.

JohnTKx had the 1.01 and the most complete start in the league — Gibbs, then Burrow at pick 20, Kenneth Walker at pick 21 — before the middle rounds came apart: four multi-round reaches, the Rams D/ST at pick 81 (earliest defense by 26 picks, with Jordan Love the best player left), Colston Loveland at pick 40, Bucky Irving at pick 41, and a WR room with no top-60 asset by the Situation board. Malik Willis at pick 120 (+63) and Jayden Reed at pick 101 are genuinely good late picks, and four role-locked RBs give the league's safest weekly floor — but the thinnest WR corps in the league and a QB2 plan of Willis/Mendoza make the ceiling the lowest of the ten.

Boris Chen tiers used as secondary context only. Grade letters calibrated by an analyst over the full pick set.
